BP Episode 011 How to Have a Relationship with God
Monday Nov 05, 2018
Monday Nov 05, 2018
“But to all who did receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name, who were born, not of natural descent, or of the will of the flesh, or of the will of man, but of God.” - John 1:12.
The number one criteria in order to have a relationship with God is then to acknowledge that we must “repent” of our sins. We must change our mind about God, about our own condition - a sinful one, and without a Saviour we will not have forgiveness of sins and have eternal life.
The second criteria is "Believe." It means to place your trust in Christ, to rely upon Him, to have confidence in Him.
In this video Dr. Joel Madasu explains how to have a relationship with Christ Jesus.

BP Episode 010 The Work and the Ministry of the Holy Spirit
Tuesday Oct 30, 2018
Tuesday Oct 30, 2018
Knowing the work and the ministry of the Holy Spirit is important for a Christian. Because, it is the Spirit who guides us, convicts us of our sins, teach us, fills us, illuminates God's Word to us so that we could better understand the living, life-changing Word of God.
In this episode, I explain briefly the work and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
What does the Holy Spirit do in a Christian’s life?
He Fills
What is the filling of the Spirit? (Ephesians 5:18)
Imperative – it’s a command to all Christians
Present tense – we are to keep on being filled.
Passive – we must allow the Holy Spirit to do the filling.
Meaning – it means "to be continually controlled by"
g., Luke 4:28 – controlled by wrath
g., Acts 13:45 – controlled by envy
What are the conditions for being filled?
One must dedicate himself to God for His use and control (Romans 8:14; 12:1-2).
One must not grieve the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30) – committing sins we know we should not do.
One must live his life in constant dependence upon the Spirit (Romans 8:10-15, 26-27).
What are the results of being filled?
Christ-likeness (Galatians 5:5, 16-18, 22-25)
Worship and Praise (Ephesians 5:18-20)
Submission (Ephesians 5:21-27)
He Teaches (John 16:12-15)
He will guide us into all the truth—for us today it means he will teach us the content of God’s Word.
He will show you things to come.
He will sometimes use other believers with the gift of teaching.
He Guides (Romans 8:14)
He Gives Assurance (Romans 8:16) – we are the children of God.
He Prays (Romans 8:26)
